Tattoo Flash Art Exhibit Opening
The Woodman is thrilled to collaborate with talented tattoo artists of Hobo’s & Congress Street Tattoo of Portsmouth and
Rochester or the April and May exhibition at the Thom Hindle Gallery (15 Summer St., Dover, NH 03820). Artists on display include Danny Clark, Steven Clark, Jason Scott, Spencer Scott, Bill Rocha, Andrew Stortz and Harrison Wellwood. Pieces are available for sale.
The exhibition runs through the end of May and is available for viewing free to the public during normal museum hours (Wednesday through Sunday, 10am-5pm). .
The opening night–April 12–will feature an intimate gathering with the artists, including beer and wine and light snacks. Doors open at 7pm. The event is free to attend.
Also new at the Thom Hindle Gallery are recent acquisitions from the Cross Insurance Company, which include historic photos of Dover printed from the original glass plate negatives of the Thom Hindle photography collection. The front parlor also features a temporary exhibit, “Drafting Dover,” which includes work from surveyor Charles Hayes and historian John Scales. Hayes surveyed Dover Point from 1912-1915, locating the sites of homes and buildings erected between 1623-1723. Scales wrotes the History of Dover Vol. I, which included work from Hayes.
