Veterans Day at the Woodman 2017The Woodman is hosting its annual celebration of Veterans Day on the grounds of the museum on November 12 from 12-4pm. The event will feature live reenactors, cannon-firing, guest speakers, fife and drum performances, a color guard presentation and much more! Ocean Discovery Day

The UNH Marine Docents bring marine science to you with Ocean Discovery Day!

On Thursday, July 20, 2017 (10am-3pm) the Woodman will be featuring hands-on activities for curious visitors. Meet sea stars, crabs and other creatures that live on the rocky shores of the Seacoast. Learn interesting facts about lobsters, octopuses and marine mammals. Discover something new about our Great Bay Estuary habitats, beaches, and coastal waters!

We are also featuring a LIVE Feed with Dr. Robert Ballard and the Corps of Exploration.

Come join us! The museum is free and open to the public for the entire day!

Henry Law Park Playground Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

JoCome celebrate the opening of the new Henry Law Park Playground Ribbon Cutting Ceremonyin the Woodman Museum for the Henry Law Park playground ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, June 24 @ 9:30am. The new playground (once the site of Cocheco Manufacturing Company’s Printworks) includes a mini-Garrison Hill climbing tower and a re-purposed Edward Adams gundalow. It’ll also be the last chance to buy a raffle ticket to win a Christopher James Ward remarque print of Old Dover Landing.

Gundalow Ribbon Cutting & Woodman Raffle

The Woodman Museum will be participating in the June 24 ribbon cutting ceremony for Henry Law Park’s new playground!

We are raffling off a beautiful remarque print by Christopher James Ward entitled “Old Dover Landing.” The framed print, numbered and autographed and with a “remarque” pencil and oil drawing beneath it, was generously donated by the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (originally commissioned by Bob and Tricia DeColfmacker). Tickets are $20 each.
