Woodman Museum Collaborates with Bad Lab Beer Co. to release “Annie’s IPA” DOVER, NH – The Woodman Museum will be present at Somersworth’s Bad Lab Beer Co. on May 1 from 5-9pm to celebrate the release of Annie’s IPA. The Woodman Museum, a cherished Dover institution, has long been a hidden gem of Seacoast NH. Its collection and community impact is significant to its growing region providing an insight into our community’s history, heritage and character that cannot be overlooked. Bad Lab Beer Co. is honored to announce its partnership in creation of Annie’s IPA, an ode to the museum’s namesake, Annie Woodman. An annual release with a portion of sales donated to fundraise specific projects at the Museum. Bad Lab’s general manager, Evan Eppler, describes the new brew as being, “an approachable, light drinking session IPA. Soft on the palate with a delicate, citrus and floral hop aroma. Hazy, juicy and sure to please even the most die-hard New Englander.” The event will also feature live music from local folk artists of The Bog Standard. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. This year’s proceeds will directly fund much needed restoration of the Woodman Museums Civil War era cannon, carriage, limber and ammunition box. Donated to the Museum by the Dover GAR Charles Sawyer Post 17, the cannon, carriage, limber and ammunition box including sabots are original Civil War era and a rarity in museum collections. The wood and iron fittings are deteriorating due to age and exposure to the weather. The cannon is currently undergoing restoration with an expected return to the museum on July 27 of this year.Find out more »
